Background
Meet Ximena. She took her passion for solving problems and turned it into a Mathematics and Economics degree in college. Those skills factored into her interning at Prudential twice first before starting her career in the Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP), a diverse, three-year, corporate finance rotation program.
Question: What's been your career path while at Prudential?
Answer: It all started when I attended an early talent exposure leadership conference here at Prudential. After that, I had the opportunity to intern for back to back summers in two completely different finance functions, specifically in Prudential International Insurance and PGIM Finance. I was honored to receive a full-time offer to join Prudential’s highly regarded Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP) after graduation. I spent my first rotation in Annuities Finance and most recently started by next assignment as a Senior Finance Associate in Tax.
Question: What excites you most about Prudential?
Answer: The investment in their employees and the culture. Being here, I know I have the opportunities to strengthen the fundamentals of my career and keep growing my potential as a leader.
Question: What are you passionate about as it relates to your work?
Answer: Learning and efficiency. Each year, I have gotten to know different teams, different businesses, and additional functions. Not only do I get to see where my passions take me as I navigate my early-on career path, but I also get the opportunity to connect the dots to different industries and strategies within Prudential all while adding value and impact.
Question: Any advice you may have for entry-level talent?
Answer: Enter your role with intellectual curiosity, keep learning from each process and project you are involved in and from the people who you get to meet and work with you.
