Meet Jessica. She took her passion for creating art and turned it into a major in Economics and Mathematics. That gave her the perfect canvas to intern as a summer analyst in the Chief Investment Office (CIO).
Question: What's been your career path while at Prudential?
Answer: I started at Prudential as a Summer Analyst as part of the ALM Strategy & Analytics team in the Chief Investment Office and returned full-time after graduation. I recently completed my first year as a full-time analyst on the team.
Question: What excites you most about Prudential?
Answer: What excites me the most about is coming to work for a company that rises to meet complex financial challenges with innovative technology solutions. For example, my team is pushing towards using machine learning and A.I. to analyze and market new annuity products and simulate deep hedging on these structured products.
Question: What are you passionate about as it relates to your work?
Answer: I am very passionate about investing, personal finance and financial planning. It's helped me keep on top of market trends and macroeconomic changes to better understand how my work impacts Prudential's customers and clients, now and in the future.
Question: Any advice you may have for entry-level talent?
Answer: There’s no such thing as a dumb question, but there are smart ones! Asking intelligent questions demonstrates to your manager and team members that you've put in the time and energy to think about an idea or solution critically. It’s a great way to stand out amongst the crowd!
