A Culture of Diversity and Inclusion

You can make an impact just by being you. At Prudential, you can.

A Culture of Diversity and Inclusion

Our inclusive workforce and culture drives growth.

Closing the Financial Divide

Prudential’s commitment to equity dates back to our founding in 1875 and remains core to our purpose today. We believe that financial security should be within reach for everyone and are invested in long-term partnerships that help bridge financial gaps, accelerate economic mobility, and empower communities. "The best career advice I have ever received at PGIM, is the one I’ve given myself, which is to always use my voice."

Putting Accountability into Action

In August 2020, we deepened our commitment to advance racial equity, announcing goals that focus on taking action for Our People, Our Business and Society. These were born out of the courageous candor of nearly 7,000 Prudential employees, who shared their experiences and expectations in more than 125 employee forums on racial equity across the Company.

Prudential’s chairman and CEO leads executive accountability for inclusion and diversity, chairing our Enterprise Inclusion Council, which meets quarterly since its founding in 2019. The council is composed of senior leaders, along with the heads of Prudential’s business resource groups. The meetings are a valuable source of input for leadership to understand the day-to-day experiences of our employees as valuable input into business decisions and company policies and practices.

Fostering Belonging

Our first employee-led Business Resource Group (BRG) was established in 1993 to create a space for employees to share experiences and support one another. Since then, we have grown to eight BRGs which not only play an integral part in cultivating our culture, but also providing valuable input into our business and talent initiatives. With nearly 6,000 members, our BRGs provide employees an opportunity to grow professionally and personally, expand their networks, and make an impact in their communities. Learn more.
