What’s been your career path at Prudential?
In June 2015, I started at Prudential as an intern in Global Business and Technology Solutions. In June 2016, I returned to intern in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). In June 2017, I joined Prudential full-time in the Office of the CIO.
How do you describe your role?
My work is focused on early talent. I serve as the point of contact and manage many programs for Global Business & Technology Solutions (GBTS). I support GBTS’ commitment to providing students interested in STEM careers an opportunity to work at Prudential. I streamline processes to create better programs overall.
What are some key projects that you've worked on that excite or have excited you most?
I served on the planning team for the Technology Day at Prudential geared toward 8th graders and high school students. We had almost 200 students participate. You just felt the energy and excitement throughout the day.
What is it like to work at Prudential?
It's friendly and collaborative. I find myself working and meeting people across the company outside of my team. It makes such a big company seem so much smaller. The commitment from senior leaders to sit down with you is awesome.
What are you passionate about as it relates to your work?
Being a resource to people. Most of my work involves being a point of contact and helping find the right answers.
What excites you most about Prudential?
The opportunities and exposure. The fact that our work matters and makes a difference for our clients, our local Newark community and external partners.
Any advice you may have for entry level talent?
Determine what is truly important to you. You want to choose a company that shares similar values to your own.
What keeps you at Prudential?
The people, the opportunity and the benefits.
How would you describe Prudential culture in one word?
What's one thing you love about working in Newark?
Even from 2015, there has been a drastic change in Newark. Prudential having such a presence in Newark showcases our commitment to the area. We are truly an anchor within the community.
What do you like to do in your free time outside of work?
I like to run, I'm currently training for the NYC Marathon. I also love spending time with friends and going to the beach in the summer months.
