What’s been your career path at Prudential?
In June 2015, I started as an intern in Market Risk. In June 2016, I returned as an intern in Investment Risk. In July 2017, I started in the Full-time Rotational Program (currently in Investment Risk). My other rotations have included Market Risk and Risk Identification & Assessment.
How do you describe your role?
My role is to analyze the credit risks in Prudential's portfolio and monitor anything that is going on in the portfolio and within the market.
What is it like to work at Prudential?
It's a very collaborative environment. Everyone is very open-minded. My opinions and views are valued and respected.
What excites you most about Prudential?
The size and the complexity of our business and investment portfolio. There is so much you can learn about our company on a daily basis.
Any advice you may have for entry level talent?
I strongly suggest never being afraid to ask questions and network with employees to learn as much about the industry in general. Try to get some exposure to what people do and what the company does more broadly.
What keeps you at Prudential?
My role keeps me curious and I feel like there is always more to learn. This keeps me at Prudential.
How would you describe Prudential culture in one word?
What's one thing you love about working in Newark?
It’s exciting to see the development that’s happening within the area. Seeing the changes real-time is what most excites me. From a commute standpoint it is great.
What do you like to do in your free time outside of work?
I like to dance and take dance classes. I also enjoy one-day hiking trips, exploring New York City and attending Broadway shows.
