About the position
PGIM Fixed Income is a global asset manager offering active solutions across all fixed income markets. As of March 31, 2020, the firm has $868 billion of assets under management including $348 billion in institutional assets, $174 billion in retail assets, and $346 billion in proprietary assets.
Primary responsibility will be to assist the head of CLO research develop systems to facilitate investment sourcing and surveillance
Assist with ongoing monitoring and analysis of CLO portfolio positions to assess credit risk, ratings and relative value, and with preparation of quarterly review of CLO positions
Conduct sensitivity analysis on CLO investments and automate as appropriate
Organize and process data from multiple sources to facilitate surveillance of collateral managers and tranche performance
Support CLO team in negotiation of structural terms for new issue transactions with the CLO’s arranger and in performing due diligence on CLO collateral managers
Engage with other CLO investors, rating agencies, trustees, and other CLO market participants
Collaborate with CLO research colleagues to produce client reporting for CLO mandates
Provide support for presentations to prospective and existing PFI clients
Explore the application of natural language processing to expedite indenture review
Position based in Newark, NJ
Candidate should have a minimum of three years of CLOs research experience.
Knowledge of Python, R, Tableau and other data analytics tools a plus Knowledge of Intex and Bloomberg
Knowledge of CLOs systems.
Masters degree in engineering or quantitative research preferred, but not required
Works well as part of a team as well as autonomously and enjoys a fast paced, high intensity environment
Hard-working, motivated, enthusiastic, self-starter with good communication skills and a track record of partnering effectively with other functional areas
Possesses strong attention to detail
Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, often independently, under tight deadlines
