Position Summary:



PGIM Real Estate has an exciting career opportunity as part of its newly formed Global Innovation group. We are seeking a Director, of Innovation and PropTech who will report to PGIM Real Estate’s Global Head of Innovation. This individual will be responsible for helping drive critical business initiatives that will guide the evolution and growth of PGIM Real Estate’s global debt and equity businesses. This individual will work cross functionally with Property Technology (PropTech) councils to help research, perform due diligence and implement proptech and other innovations across PGIM Real Estate’s global portfolios and platform.

Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Research potential proptech or other innovative technologies and the companies who are developing them.

  • Work in close coordination with variety of stakeholders within PGIM Real Estate on different problem statements that innovation might be able to help solve. Compare and contrast different solutions based on an evolving framework. Make recommendations on the most appropriate solution.

  • Provide support to keep proptech or other innovation related initiatives on schedule and within scope. Develop and maintain documentation including project plans, presentations, issues lists, meeting agendas/minutes, and action item trackers. Use problem solving and relationship management skills to move initiatives forward and meet deadlines.

  • Attend all proptech council meetings to ensure cross company sharing of best practices and knowledge. Set agendas, schedule demos, provide follow up research.

  • Maintain database for use globally on all proptech/innovation discussions and review.

  • Work with venture capital partners on proptech/innovative company reviews and screening.

  • Build understanding of PGIM Real Estate’s broader business strategy, systems, and operations and draw on that knowledge to identify and resolve potential issues and/or interdependencies.

  • Build a detailed understanding of internal and external data sources and uses and utilize that knowledge to provide recommendations for how to improve data flows, enhance processes, and enhance our systems infrastructure.

  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders and work with cross-functional team to resolve outstanding issues. Facilitate sessions to bring issues to resolution. Provide / suggest solutions while working collaboratively to reach consensus.

  • Develop presentations to explain strategy, direction, and status to senior management and to the broader organization.

  • Support Innovation marketing and communications through white papers and presentations.



Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience with at least 3 years in a project management role related to technology, innovation and implementation. Experience in real estate investment management preferred

  • Technologically savvy with good understanding on how to evaluate new technologies and implement change

  • Demonstrated proficiency in executing agendas aligned with business strategy

  • Strong communicator with an ability to read a room, convey a message succinctly, and tell a story effectively using tools such as MS PowerPoint

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Team player with an ability to build partnerships and influence across all levels of the organization

  • Desire to build a deep understanding of the real estate investment management business and learn all aspects of PGIM Real Estate’s operations

  • Enthusiasm, initiative, curiosity, and eagerness to learn

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently while communicating frequently
