Agriculture - Fresno, CA PGIM Real Estate - Agricultural Asset Manager

About the position

PGIM Agricultural Investments (PAI) is a business within PGIM Real Estate Finance, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Prudential Financial, Inc. Leveraging a 100 year history in agricultural equity/real estate management services and lending, Prudential's agriculture business provides equity management services and lending in the agribusiness sector throughout the United States.

With the combination of new funding and current and new investment mandates, PAI will soon be approaching $1 billion invested in Western United States agriculture. PAI is seeking to expand the investment and asset management team by hiring an Asset Manager in our Fresno, CA location.

This position will report directly to the Senior Asset Manager for the PAI Western Region. This role will manage a portion of the agricultural real estate investments portfolio in the Western United Sates as well as assist with commodity research and asset acquisitions in the region.

Primary Responsibilities:

Asset Management:

  1. Manage a select number of properties within the Western Region Portfolio, evaluate performance of each and determine how to make improvements and deliver strong returns to clients.

  2. Prepare quarterly reports, annual business plans, and financial modeling for redevelopment recommendations.

  3. Act as central point of contact in conjunction with farm management team with onsite managers, commodity processors, internal team members, and third-party vendors.

  4. Assist with strategy development, crop operating budgets, capital improvement budgets, farm management agreements, crop insurance, and crop marketing for each managed property.

  5. Visit properties regularly and review monthly financial reports to evaluate year to date performance for monthly operation reporting for senior management.

  6. Conduct various industry research and analysis projects including assisting with quarterly commodity marketing updates and annual commodity newsletter.

  7. Assist in client and prospective client meetings and tours as needed.

  8. Participate in selected trade associations to develop industry market understanding.


  1. Assist the Western Region Head of Acquisitions with the acquisition of properties associated with the client of managed properties.

  2. Participate in the business evaluation of properties and completion of due diligence process including on-site inspections.

  3. Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and other market participants to assist with sourcing property acquisition opportunities for consideration within the region.



  • 10+ years of experience in agricultural related field.

  • An undergraduate degree in Agricultural Economics, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field.

  • A California Real Estate Sales or Brokerage license would be highly desirable.

  • Unquestioned integrity.

  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to customer service

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, excellent presentation skills, and highly effective analytical skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
