About the position

PGIM Private Capital is the private capital investment arm of PGIM and one of the largest private debt investors in the world with over $90 billion in AUM across more than 1,000 companies globally (as of December 31, 2019). PGIM Private Capital typically invests over $13 billion annually in privately placed senior and mezzanine financings with middle-market companies.

PGIM Private Capital’s Chicago Corporate Finance Office is seeking an experienced Vice President to originate and manage senior debt and mezzanine investments in the Midwest territory of the United States. This position will report to the Managing Director of PGIM Private Capital’s Chicago Corporate Finance office.


Origination and management of private placements in the Midwest region of the US

Originate new private placements of senior or mezzanine financings, ranging in size from $10 to $300 million

Develop relationships with clients, prospects and intermediaries within the geographic territory

Work with lawyers to successfully negotiate covenants and other provisions within loan documents

Work closely with the leadership team to successfully accomplish the objectives of the Chicago office and PGIM Private Capital overall


10 years of experience in the corporate finance industry

Strong analytic and investment skills

Proven track record in making and managing debt investments

Excellent client relationship skills

Strong leadership abilities with a desire to develop team members
