About the position
Director, Operations – Corporate Compliance
This is a new position created within Corporate Compliance Operations team. The Director, Operations will report to the Vice President of Operations.
The Director will be responsible for supporting the Vice President of Operations to optimize systems and processes across corporate compliance operation areas. The successful candidate will achieve this through management of projects, day to day business process optimization efforts, operational process root cause analysis and issues resolution.
This role will have a strong hands-on focus to work as part of the Corporate Compliance Training team to evaluate and enhance current program operations for a more sustainable support model to deliver its training plan, and work with the Vice President and stakeholders to lay out the future vision and roadmap for future compliance training model and learning technologies.
The Director will help drive results through projects and manage processes initiatives across different corporate compliance operational areas including Personal Securities Trading, Regulatory Filings, Anti-Money Laundering/Sanctions Unit, and Corporate Compliance Training.
Specifically, the responsibilities of the Director include:
Effective Compliance business requirements and execution in key projects to assure successful implementation
Conduct operational process evaluations to identify potential automation or process efficiencies
Partner with technology team to identify and deploy technologies that enhance efficiency and throughput
Establish metrics, data analytics, and reports that enable effective operations management
Partnership with a global diverse work location teams
Document and maintain efficient, controlled and documented processes and procedures
Establish scalable and repeatable systems and processes that are enabled by technology
It is anticipated that additional activities will be added
to this group.
6+ years in a senior level position managing operations in a production environment
Experience with training strategy, training solution management and deployment
Demonstrate results in improving operational efficiency/effectiveness through process mapping, process improvements, technology deployment and other mechanisms
Curious action-oriented problem solver with strong learning agility
Ability, comfort and inclination to identify and leverage data to provide insight to manage operations or enhance operational efficiency
Experienced manager of technologies (selection, requirements, development, maintenance)
Experience working and collaborating across a highly matrixed organization
Excellent communication skills
Experience as project lead for technology implementation (e.g., SaaS solutions) is preferred
Business acumen/knowledge of financial services, insurance experience is a plus
Background in compliance or operational risk is a strong plus
Bachelors degree required
