Technology - Newark (NJ), NJ Senior Specialist, Systems Developer

About the position

TITLE:              Senior Specialist, Systems Developer (The Prudential Insurance Company of America – Newark, NJ)

DUTIES:           Design and develop UI for financial wellness application and different tools under financial wellness. Implement Angular common components which are used across multiple places of financial wellness application. Develop Test Driven Development approach using Jasmine and Karma. Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code. Work closely with designers and product owners to quickly ship new front-end experiments. Use Firebug, IE developer toolbar and Chrome canary tool for debugging JavaScript and fixing issues. Implement responsive web design using CSS media queries and Bootstrap. Responsible for Jenkin builds and deployments in servers. Create CORM tickets for PROD releases and coordinate with the release management. Write E2E test automation scripts using Protractor. Handle scrum calls and coordinate with the off-shore and on-shore teams. Work closely with scrum master and product owner to meet the sprint deliverables. Use JIRA and GIT, Bitbucket tools.

Qualifications

REQTS:             Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the position offered, Technology Lead, Associate, Software Engineer, or a related position. Must have five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with AngularJS, Jasmine/Karma, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JSON, WebAPIs, PL/SQL programming, JIRA, and GIT.

HOURS:            Full time; Mon- Fri (37.5 hrs/week)
