The position will act as a subject matter expert responsible for all phases of application programming and processes for Data Analysis platforms technologies, methodologies and tools. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective technology and or service solution. Provides technical consulting and leadership in the detailed level analysis of source system data and the development of source to target mapping documents to define data movement requirements through the Data Warehouse. Responsible for overseeing the development of the logical models and data marts. Anticipates business and or regulatory issues recommends product, process, or service improvements. Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to work with business area SMEs and parent team resources to determine most appropriate solution to achieve established goal and identify detail project deliverables and timelines

  • Develop technical and business solution including front end (Tableau/SSRS) and back end (SQL Server)

  • Monitor and maintain health and security of server resources including but not limited to applying system updates/patches, monitoring disc space, managing access, ensure data integrity and enterprise compliance

  • Act as an SME for data; Understand how data applied to and impacts the business

  • Build and maintain working relationship with US business partners key stakeholders

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets; Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and generate useful business insights

  • May have management responsibilities for a small team, or may be an individual contributor with manager responsibilities for a project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field preferred

  • 5+ years’ practical experience with ETL, data processing, data management and data analysis

  • 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role

  • Insurance / financial industry exp preferred

  • Experience with MS-SQL databases, SSIS, SSRS and other related applications

  • Ability to work with large data sets, including data modeling, and indexing strategies

  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities while working under tight timelines

  • Ability to influence peers, senior leaders and others who are not direct reports. Must have the ability to work across businesses/teams to gain buy-in and build consensus to deliver on objectives

  • Additional Technical Skills Preferred:

    • SQL Server Administration

    • Internet Information Services (IIS)
