About the position

The process management specialist will oversee and manage vendor hosted (SaaS) solutions for our Individual Life Insurance (ILI) and Prudential Advisors teams. They will also assist with the implementation of sourcing vendor tools, serving as an IT liaison with suppliers and business unit stakeholders, vendor engagement Manager (VEM). The process management specialist will work with ILI and Prudential Advisors staff to identify needs for vendor enhancements and work with vendors to establish engagement schedules to meet those needs. They will also
partner with Managed Services IT governance team to identify vendor SLAs and KPIs. The process management specialist will also evaluate vendors based on SLA metrics and work with project managers for any escalated vendor issues.


The process management specialist will also handle vendor due diligence activities required for new vendor intake process and work on Vendor RFPs and participate in vendor evaluations for new vendor interactions and implementations.

Overall, assist with Prudential Service Delivery Manager (SDM) responsibilities for vendor hosted tools.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in establishing master agreements and engagement schedules, and support special projects as well as complex sourcing initiatives (20%)
  • Act as liaison with vendors and internal business and system stakeholders to assist in the resolution of systemic/recurring supplier/customer issues (20%)
  • Develop close working relationships with suppliers and internal customers (10%)
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure that contract terms and conditions are being met or exceeded; and that performance meets customer expectations (25%)
  • Provide direction to contract administrators, procurement and sourcing specialists and other supply personnel, as appropriate, within assigned business units and related vendors. (15%)
  • Identify and assist in implementing sourcing and category management best practices for vendor solutions (10%)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years Experience with managing vendors
  • Demonstrated project and change management skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supplier management concepts
  • Adept and persuasive communicator verbal, written Cross functional/organizational team facilitation skills internal and external
  • Experience with managing IT vendor relationships

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills Demonstrated ability to hold suppliers accountable for performance

  • Knowledge of components of vendor hosted and cloud solution providers

  • Understanding of Vendor Governance and Contract process

  • Ability to create Engagement schedules, Statement of Work, and enter risk rating information on behalf of application owners

  • Excellent vendor negotiation skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to facilitate issue discussions with vendors, legal, and application owners
