Enterprise Risk Management - Newark, NJ Business Analyst (Risk Management)

About the position

The Third Party Risk Management Systems Business Analyst position will apply their business analysis and process management expertise to support the delivery of governance, risk, and compliance tools for Prudential’s Third Party Risk Management Program. This role will also support the development and delivery of training and management information reporting. The incumbent will serve as liaison between ORM Archer Tech Lead and the user community, which includes Vendor Governance Officers and their staff across Prudential’s U.S. and International businesses. The incumbent will have the following primary responsibilities:

  • Collect, document, prioritize, and oversee systems enhancements/requests
  • Interpret business needs into technical enhancement requests
  • Lead user group meetings to develop business requirements and work through implementation issues
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on system workflows, data structures, and dependencies
  • Evaluate enhancement requests to ensure alignment with Third Party Risk Management Standards
  • Prepare and manage project plans / schedules and provide regular status reports
  • Support the development of continuous monitoring of the third party risk management programs across the enterprise
  • Support information management reporting
  • Lead / coordinate / support related special projects and initiatives for the Third Party Risk Management Program

Coordinate Prudential’s involvement in industry groups

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of project or process management, relationship management, and/or risk management experience; vendor governance experience is a plus. Experience in third party risk management, or related control discipline such as audit, privacy or information security is a plus
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to organize and gather facts, navigate through ambiguous or complex issues, draw conclusions, and influence desired outcomes
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; ability to lead meetings and tailor messages to various audiences
  • Able to manage collaborative relationships with a broad set of stakeholders
  • Strong capability in planning and managing a wide variety of initiatives and concurrent priorities that produce high quality deliverables within established timelines
  • Results-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
  • Archer experience/knowledge a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Bachelor’s degree
