About the position
Prudential’s Chief Investment Office manages market risk associated with Variable Annuity Guarantees. The group owns the analysis of key asset and liability risk measures and decision-making relative to the hedging of these risks. The Modeling and Analytics group, within Chief Investment Office manages market risks associated with Variable Annuity and Retirement Guarantees.
The Actuarial Analyst will support work which includes daily liability valuation of the hedged liability, capital projections, and refinement of an enterprise-wide capital framework. This position will assist in project implementation and assumptions update processes, perform and analyze risk neutral and real world valuations for living benefits, fine tune liability attribution analysis, and collaborate with other corporate functions to support any valuation initiatives.
Bachelor's degree required
1+ years of actuarial experience strong preferred
Pursuing FSA through the Quantitative Finance and Investment (QFI) track is preferred
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Prior variable annuity and/or hedging experience is a plus
Advanced level Excel VBA and SQL Server knowledge and working knowledge of Matlab is a plus
Prior experience with GGY Axis, MG-Hedge or similar actuarial modeling software is a plus
Must be able to work equally well independently and in a team environment
