About the position
The Talent Management Center of Expertise (CoE)’s mission is to attract, assess and develop talent across Prudential. In achieving it’s mission, the Talent Management CoE is looking to hire a Director who can drive thought leadership, process excellence, and flawless delivery in the areas of assessment, performance management and succession management. This position will have broad exposure to senior executives and HR Partners across the organization.
The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
Talent and Succession Management:
Serve as the point person for talent management team members, HR Business partners and reporting teams in the execution of ongoing succession management activities
Create and refine informational materials to support key stakeholders in the succession management process
Bring thought leadership to the succession process and recommend opportunities to continually evolve succession strategy
Ensure accurate and flawless delivery of succession process during talent reviews
Lead the assessment practice for selection and development
As an assessment subject matter expert, support business partners on ensuring the right assessment approach is leveraged to achieve desired outcome
Oversee and create detailed analytics and adverse impact analysis on all existing assessment tools and recommend enhancements as appropriate
Support validation and research of assessment programs to ensure Prudential is optimizing assessment outcomes
Serve as the go to resource for Talent Acquisition and HR business partners on assessment related inquiries
Nurture ongoing relationships with assessment vendors and external partners
Support the evolution of Prudential’s performance management approach through the incorporation of empirically based methodologies
Engage with critical stakeholders on defining and executing change management activities for performance management
Oversee day to day process ownership for performance management
Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree with a focus on Industrial and Organizational Psychology or related field strongly preferred
- Experience working in talent management with focus on one or more areas: assessment, performance management and/or succession management
- Expert-level statistical skills
- Experience creating, validating, implementing and managing assessments for selection
- Successful track record of execution, organization, relationship building, problem solving and demonstrating sound judgment
- Demonstrated success in situations in which the goals are unclear and changing
- Ability to build strong relationships and become a business ally. Strong track record of credibility built on trust
- Comfort in serving as an ambassador of change in a complex and results-driven organization; ability to be influential, innovative, nimble, proactive and collaborative
Clear and concise communication, presentation and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated experience with coaching and influencing leaders at all levels
Highly collaborative and team-oriented work and leadership style
