About the position
Sr. Sales Support Associates (SA) are expected to provide sales and administrative support to the assigned executives, account management and sales team members for National Account customers and producers. SAs are required to demonstrate knowledge of the end to end RFP/ sales process and have familiarity with the in force customer base, producer relationships and prospects for the Sales Executive to whom they provide support (if applicable). Daily activities include providing customer service, and administrative support to: account teams, Sales Executive (where applicable) and National Accounts executive/ leadership team support. The SA serves as a liaison for sales/account team personnel, customers, producers, and our home office contacts.
This role is responsible for organizing complex proposals through completion with the various internal departments, and following up on various items for project management.
SAs take the lead on organizing and maintaining upkeep of the office, as well as various other administrative office duties, which include: ensuring shared office equipment and supplies are available and in working order, coordinating presentation materials for customers/prospects, submitting/processing expense vouchers, and supporting specified reporting/ presentation needs for our customers and internal partners. This position is required to work on special projects throughout the year, serve as a resource for new hires, participate in team meetings/trainings, and also serve as a backup for other team members when required.
Accessing, documenting and maintaining our sales and customer record systems to meet stringent compliance requirements, as outlined by documented procedures and auditing standards, is also a responsibility of the SA.
It is expected that to accomplish the above-mentioned objectives, the SA must possess sufficient knowledge, work independently, and provide timely results. They must be customer focused and be able to converse with our producers as needed.
3+ years of experience in the insurance industry in sales administration or customer service.
Previous insurance/sales support experience is highly desired. Overtime required during peak periods.

Ability to adapt prioritize and change directions quickly
Deadline driven and self-motivated
Strong focus on customer service and solution oriented
The successful candidate must possess excellent Microsoft Office skills (particularly with Excel and PowerPoint), Lotus Notes knowledge and the ability to adapt quickly to specific window based applications.
