The Manager, Mutual Fund Financial Reporting role is a managerial position in the mutual fund financial reporting department. The position includes managing the mutual fund financial reporting cycle and closely working with the accounting agent as well as auditors. This individual is responsible for reviewing mutual fund quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial statements, including review of Form N-1A, Form N-CSR and all related financial statement disclosures and accounting matters. The manager role also includes but is not limited to review and oversight of expense accruals, accounting pronouncements, derivatives and affiliated transactions. The manager will be expected to communicate with various internal & external associates and vendors. Strong financial statement and accounting knowledge is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
- 2-3 years experience as a Manager working within mutual fund financial reporting
- 7+ years experience in GAAP accounting and SEC reporting requirements and filings
- Knowledge of the Investment Company ACT of 1940
- Solid knowledge of equity, fixed income and derivative instruments
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Project Management experience
- Strong Analytical skills
- Strong Excel knowledge
