Marketing - Roseland, NJ Manager, Association Creative Strategy

The Manager of Advertising and Creative Services within the Association/Affinity team will partner with the marketing strategists and other internal and external business partners to determine the creative strategy and appropriate approach to support the marketing needs of each Association client. He/She will also work closely with the digital, print and lettershop production specialists to conceptualize and present ideas, and design visually compelling marketing material according to the marketing strategy; as well as with Subject Matter Experts and the Compliance Team to ensure accuracy and compliance with all required regulations. This individual will manage and direct a team of graphic designers and a copywriter in both the development and execution of creative marketing strategies for multiple channels including: highly personalized direct mail, email, print and online advertising, trade shows, and online content including the development of landing pages, webinars, videos, social media, etc.

  1. Enjoy brainstorming with others and thrive in a team-oriented environment
  2. Collaborate with designers, copywriters, production experts, marketing strategy managers and business stakeholders to create compelling B2C material for print and online channels
  3. Have experience in both copywriting/editing and graphic design
  4. Produce content and back up our copywriter as needed based on capacity
  5. Be very detail oriented and have excellent proofing skills
  6. Be adept at balancing creative innovation with compliance restrictions
  7. Have experience with both one-to-one and broad-based print and online marketing efforts
  8. Constantly strive for better, innovative solutions
  9. Be a self-starter and passionate about his/her trade
  10. Be proficient on a Mac and fluent in Creative Suites, PowerPoint

The successful candidate will be able to spot marketplace trends and incorporate them into our strategy where applicable. He/She will be able to clearly articulate why a strategy did or did not work and how it will be improved going forward. He/She will skillfully be able to manage several jobs simultaneously in an organized manner and work quickly and effectively to meet challenges under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in building/executing marketing plans and/or consumer marketing campaigns. Knowledge of Association/Affinity marketplace a plus
  • Aptitude to effectively build and maintain partnerships with internal and external partners
  • Experience with B2C marketing
  • Experience with digital marketing and new marketing trends
  • Exceptional verbal, written and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
