About the position

Role Summary
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with entrepreneurial mindsets to manage activities that will help grow our business and progress the sale of Individual Life Insurance. As an Internal Wholesaler you will actively partner with Dedicated Life Consultants (DLCs) and Financial Advisors focused specifically on the Edward Jones relationships to uncover, develop and close life insurance opportunities utilizing products across six different insurance carriers.

Distribution & Sales delivers life insurance solutions by leveraging our superior talent and capabilities, comprehensive footprint, and unmatched brand to the partners and markets we serve. As part of this team you will provide pre-sale and marketing support for life insurance products across multiple carrier lines.   This support includes proactive outreaches, appointment setting, product, marketing and illustration support.   You will have opportunities to practice sales philosophies, build relationships and create win-win outcomes for your business partners and their respective clients. With a focus on successfully driving customer engagement and execution, you will have several opportunities to grow, develop and manage activities.

You have excellent communication skills and thrive in a competitive sales environment. You are a salesperson at heart, but you also have an appetite for understanding the trends impacting the business environment and enjoy working collaboratively to resolve problems. You’re looking to expand your skills, work with diverse teams on challenging projects, and build relationships with experts and leaders in your field.


  • Good working knowledge of Life Insurance products
  • Three or more years related experience in the life insurance industry, brokerage, life insurance or financial services sales experience is highly preferred
  • Multi Carrier insurance product experience is a plus
  • Existing experience with illustration software (e.g., Winflex or Carrier specific) is preferred.
  • Ability to drive results and increase presence and market share in their assignment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
  • Solid understanding of compliance
  • Enthusiastic team player and self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize work in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Proficient keyboarding skills with ability to multi task between multiple computer applications while effectively managing a telephone conversation.
  • FINRA Series 6 OR Series 7 are required and must be obtained within 180 days from date of hire
  • Industry designations such as CLU, CHFC, CFP are highly desirable
