About the position
Prudential’s Workplace Solutions Group (WSG), which comprises Prudential’s Retirement and Group Insurance (GI) businesses, and serving over 23 million customers, has an account executive role to service and expand Association relationships in support of specific growth initiatives and opportunities. The selected candidate will develop, manage and strengthen relationships with both new and existing Association clients, and perform product management/development functions in partnership with a product development team. This position will also generate revenue growth by developing and executing case-specific business plans in coordination with new product solutions.
Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities:
Exercising responsibility for retaining existing customers, expanding in-force business and selling renewals
Coordinating marketing, sales, and product services for Association Accounts
Establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with clients, brokers, consultants, and internal business partners that result in increased sales revenue, client persistency, and customer satisfaction
Presenting the financial components of a re-rate including retention, risk, and year-end accounting
Periodically (i.e. quarterly) providing clients premium and claim comparison analysis on both participating and non-participating employees
Providing guidance to Product & Association Management team members that support assigned client(s)
Strategic Product Development:
Participates as a core team member of the strategic initiatives group to identify and develop product and service solutions for the Association/Affinity segment
Supports business development activities in support of the strategy
Develops meaningful and enduring relationships with customers and other external partners
Connects customer needs to potential solutions based on key Prudential capabilities
Strategic mindset that supports development of innovative customer solutions
Solid knowledge of Prudential products and services
- 5+ years of demonstrated success in servicing Accounts in the Group Insurance and/or managed care industry
- The ability to develop and grow relationships and maintain a solid retention rate with Association clients
- A track record of achievement in servicing and working with consultants and/or brokerage community is desirable
- The ability to obtain a state Group Life and Health Insurance license within 30 days of hire
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Product development experience
- Travel 30-50%
