Asset Management - Newark (NJ), NJ PGIM Fixed Income - Portfolio Specialist, Emerging Markets

The Emerging Markets Fixed Income Portfolio Specialist will sit as part of the Emerging Markets Fixed Income team, with the mandate to thoroughly understand the investment process, strategy, positioning and outlook. They will become proficient in Emerging Markets Fixed Income risk “module” and risk budgets for all Emerging Markets Fixed Income strategies.   


This person will accompany the sales team on prospecting calls to plan sponsors or consultants, including finals presentations. They will conduct portfolio reviews/updates for clients, including portfolio commentary, and will understand the specific client mandates and speak to separate account nuances in the context of the overall performance of Emerging Markets Fixed Income investment products.


In close partnership with the Product Strategy group this person will guide the Competitor Analysis/Product Positioning as well as act as a resource for RFP responses or presentation slides. This will extend to speaking at conferences, working with the account manager in investment guidelines negotiations, and delivery of product specific client training to client service, marketing, and sales teams


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing Emerging Markets Fixed Income Long only portfolios
  • Excellent communication, client relationship management, and marketing/sales skills.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Economics
  • CFA is preferred but not required
