Marketing - Roseland, NJ Senior Advertising & Creative Service Specialist

About the position

The Association Project Manager is responsible for managing the creation or updating of materials and communications related to product marketing, enrollment campaigns, presentations, and certain internal communications. The Project Manager is expected to serve as a consultative marketing expert with a knowledge of products and services. Responsibilities include:

The creation of marketing plans, and timelines

The oversight and successful completion of all assigned projects

The successful submission of materials for marketing review

The consistent and timely use of the Workfront workflow tool

The use of MAPS to make current materials available for use by GI

The monitoring and maintenance of the electronic and print inventory of approved materials  

The Project Manager is responsible for partnering with Relationship Managers / Strategic Marketers to schedule and oversee any necessary intake meetings attended by appropriate parties before a complex project begins
The PM is expected to take complete ownership of any assigned project from inception through completion. Related responsibilities include:
Assuring the quality of the project, based upon expectations set at intake, meeting or exceeding a 95% success rate
Developing workable timeliness, based upon expectations set at intake, meeting or exceeding a 95% success rate
Defining the scope of the project, based upon expectations set at intake, delivering on scope on 95% of projects
Monitoring project budgets, based upon expectations set at intake, staying within budget on 95% of projects.
Communication of the project, based on updating stakeholders with pertinent information throughout the project; Project Managers expected to maintain a 95% satisfaction rate
Partnering closely with the creative services teams: editorial, design, proofreading, production, eBiz, as well as compliance and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of materials Correctly selecting subject matter experts (SMEs) to review and approve materials, based upon content
Incorporating SME comments and feedback for 100% approval of materials
Ensuring that all materials are approved for use (i.e., not expired) before being used externally Submitting materials to MRU Portal in good order, as necessary
Ensuring that all materials are approved for use in required states before being used in those states
Ensuring the proper and current use of all disclaimersEnsuring proper marketing review control number placement

Qualifications

BA degree a plus . At least 5-7 years of advertising/marketing communications project management experience, both within an advertising agency or corporate advertising department.
Must demonstrate proven skills in the following areas:

Marketing strategy and project plan development

Presentation and communication skills

General business writing, organization, and time-management

Project scheduling and leadership abilities

Must also be adept in the art of persuasion, possess effective negotiation skills and think outside the box that will help sell marketing ideas and recommendations to both our internal business partners and external clients

Ensure timely execution of projects on accelerated schedules

Ability to handle increasingly high volume of work in a calm manner

Knowledge of insurance products would be beneficial

Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite; must be proficient in Excel & PowerPoint
